The Clear Lake Elementary School Pavilion’s grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Dec. 13. The money for this project was raised through parent and family donations collected during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 FundRun.
Last spring, families, Clear Lake staff and teachers were able to submit suggestions to the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) as to what they felt they wanted funds to be spent on. Through a process of voting, an outdoor learning space won. A former Clear Lake parent, Jason Cole, owner of Top Quality Contracting, was hired to complete the project. Construction started this fall.
Staff, students and parents got a hot cocoa and cookie treat by attending, also donated by Top Quality Contracting.
“The school is looking forward to be able to use the outdoor space as an alternate learning area for their students and thanks all those families who generously donated to make this project happen,” PTO member Laurie Bolognesi said.
