Running for those who served

A total of 85 folks participated in “A Warriors Path” run/walk Saturday morning at Christ the King Church in Oxford Township.

The event raised more than $2,500 for the Veterans Ministry’s annual hog roast/picnic for veterans and their family members.

The fastest female runner in the 10k was Tia Longo, of Saline, who finished in 42 minutes, 9 seconds. The fastest male 10k runner was Bryon Fugitt, of Clarkston, who finished in 42 minutes, 10 seconds.

In the 5k run, Ryan Tracy, of Hillsdale, was the fastest male with a time of 22 minutes, 39 seconds. Oxford resident Kristy Clark was the fastest female in the 5k with a time of 20 minutes, 55 seconds.
