Scouts beautify Depot Theater

Clarkston Village Players hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Nov. 6, celebrating Girl Scout Troop 727’s new garden and sitting area in front of Depot Theater, 4861 White Lake Road.
The scouts approached Clarkston Village Players Board of Directors in early spring to propose a beautifying project for the front of the theater building, for their Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. They designed and led the project, conducted fund aisers, and interviewed with Girl Scout Council.
The scouts, Katie Penvose, Katy Neisler, Rachel Glomski, and Chelsea Hemingsen, are all students at Clarkston High School.
