Final site plan approval for a residential development along E. Drahner Rd. was granted in a 6-0 vote by the Oxford Township Planning Commission last week.
Trident-Crest III, in partnership with the Rochester-based Silverado Custom Homes, will be constructing a site condominium development consisting of 49 single-family, detached units on 32 acres on the south side of E. Drahner Rd.
The site is bordered by the Crossroads for Youth campus to the east and the Oxford Hills golf course to the west and south.
Bob Tedesco, owner of Silverado Custom Homes, told commissioners the development will consist of ranch-style homes that are 2,000 square feet and up, plus colonial-style houses starting in the 2,300-to-2,400-square-foot range.
The site plan presented to commissioners showed sidewalks on only one side of the street running through the development. This is contrary to the township zoning ordinance, which requires sidewalks on both sides of a developmentās internal streets, both public and private.
Tedesco assured commissioners the plan will be changed and there will be sidewalks on both sides on what is labeled Tullamore Circle.
He also assured them that all landscaping requirements for the development would be satisfied.
“We want the subdivision to look nice, too,” Tedesco said. “We want to sell houses.”
