The Wildcats varsity softball team scored a win and suffered a lost against Stoney Creek during a doubleheader held April 21.
In the first game, the Wildcats fell short taking a 2-0 loss. Chloe Allen, McKenzie Miller, Lauren Donaldson and Hannah Vachon each had a hit in the loss. Hannah Vachon pitched seven innings, gave up three hits and had 11 strikeouts in the loss.
The Wildcats rallied in the final game of the evening, pulling out a 7-6 win. Lauren Donaldson had three hits and two RBIs during the game. Kaitlyn Bean and Chloe Allen added two hits and Maddy Dinges had a two RBI double in the 6th inning. Kaitlyn Bean had 13 strikeouts in the win.
The team is now 6-3 overall in the season. On April 27, the Wildcats go up against North Farmington on the home field at 4:30 p.m.
