Multiple Michigan State Police (MSP) units were in Oxford Twp. on Saturday, March 9 executing a search warrant concerning a criminal sexual conduct (CSC) investigation, according to an Oakland County Sheriff’s report.
A deputy went to the scene at approximately 11 a.m. after a citizen reported spotting a large contingent of state police.
When he arrived, the deputy observed multiple MSP units, including a forensic van, parked in front of a house in the 100 block of Teelin Dr. Troopers informed the deputy “they were assisting the (state) attorney general’s office with a search warrant regarding a CSC investigation,” the report stated.
“They said that they would be clearing the (scene) in the near future as the search warrant execution went as planned without issue,” the deputy wrote.
When contacted about the search, MSP Lt. Michael Shaw referred this reporter to the state Attorney General’s office.
“I can confirm that the state police (executed) a search warrant. Our attorneys were involved. And that’s all I can confirm,” said Kelly Rossman-McKinney, spokesperson for the attorney general’s office.
