Summit Physical Therapy celebrated its move to 18 N. Washington St. with a grand reopening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
Hosted with the Oxford Chamber of Commerce, the ceremony ran from 4-6 p.m. featuring wine and catered food from 5-1 Diner.
Opening their original location in the Crittenton Medical Plaza nearly five years ago to the day, owner and physical therapist Sarah Giroux described the move north as a way to get more space.
“Our lease was about up and we decided to look for a larger space,” Giroux said. “We were starting to feel that (when) all three of the therapists were working we were on top of each other, just kind of tripping over each other at times. We thought a nicer, more open space would be beneficial.”
Summit Physical Therapy’s services include treating sports injuries, women’s health, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), migraines, post-surgical therapy, tendinitis, gait and balancing issues, Astym soft tissue therapy and dry needling.
Most insurance and Medicaid plans are accepted.
“We typically verify your benefits ahead of time to make sure that you are covered or if you have a deductible, copay, coinsurance,” Giroux said.
Summit is typically open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and can be reached by phone at 248-460-1572.
