This past weekend, the Oxford Girl’s Swim and Dive Team took 20^th at the Oakland County Championships.

On Friday night, Keira Veltigian came in eighth in diving with a score of 309.35. On Saturday, Ashlee Weltyk took 14^th in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:15.43 and 13^th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.11.

Weltyk’s time in the 100 backstroke is a new school record and qualifies her for the State Meet in November. This Thursday we host Berkley High School at 6pm.

On Friday, October 13 at Eastern Michigan University, Keira Veltigian will dive at the MISCA (Michigan Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association) Meet.

Weltyk, Jenna Fistler, and Grace Charnstrom will be swimming individual events on Saturday at EMU and we will be determining relay teams for each of the three relay events later this week.
