Taking the Lead

Third graders throughout Clarkston Community Schools became superheroes.
Clarkston High School Leadership students stopped by all seven elementaries with their last visit to Andersonville Elementary on May 1.
The third graders learned six different qualities of leaders – diversity, communication, trust, teamwork, spirit and attitude.
“We asked the high schoolers what are the six attributes do you think leaders have,” explained Amanda Hausauer, leadership teacher.
The high schoolers created activities around the traits and explained why each trait was important to have.
After completing each station, students received a stamp. During the closing ceremony all were deemed superheroes and took the superhero oath “LEAD” with means Lead Everyday and Discover.
