Team still swinging to make par

Clarkston Girls golf lost to Stoney Creek at Twin Lakes, Sept. 16, 175-206. Emily Bullen was the high scorer with a par of 48.
Michelle Lee, 50, Kaelyn Bogart, 54, and Audrey Bedenis, 54, rounded off the top finishers.
They played on Wednesday in the Eccentric Golf tournament at Boulder Pointe. Rochester took first place, scoring 314, out of the 12 teams playing in the tournament.
Clarkston placed seventh between Rochester Adams and Lake Orion after scoring 392 during the event.
Emily Bullen shot a par of 93.
‘The other girls didn’t play as well as they wanted,? said Girls Varsity Golf Coach Larry Sherrill.
Next for the girls is playing in the Oakland County tournament on Wednesday. They will compete against 15 teams, including Rochester and Birmingham Seaholm.
‘It’s hard to say how we will do,? said Sherrill. ‘Some girls are having a hard time, but I am hoping we will be in the top six or seventh place.?
They play their second league meet in OAA Division 1 on Monday at Birmingham Country Club.
The girls currently have a record 2-2.
