I recently had the need to rely on our local Oxford sheriff, the police department, and fire and rescue personnel with emergency health issues on three occasions. I would be remiss if I didn’t point out to the public the great service these wonderful people provide for this city.
Each and every person I encountered was exceptionally professional, caring, calming and reassuring as I dealt with unforeseen and unknown health emergencies.
They all exhibited genuine kindness and concern for my wellbeing. Further, they understood my fears and were all of a very serene demeanor which greatly assuaged my panic. They were knowledgeable and explained everything they did.
These wonderful people do lifesaving work every day with no thank you oftentimes. So, to the people in these critically important jobs of service, I’m thankful for all of you, and grateful to have had you to call upon in my time of need. You’re all an example of the finest attributes of humanity! God bless you all! An appreciative Oxford resident,
