Three public hearings scheduled for Oct. 6

The Orion Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, to receive public input on special land use request for the new senior/community center, located on the east side of Joslyn Road, south of Clarkston Road.
If approved, the special land use would allow the center, consisting of one building approximately 27,193 square feet, to be located within the Suburban Farms zoning district.
The item follows two other public hearings scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m: The first item relates to an amendment to zoning ordinance No. 78, Recreational Vehicles Storage; providing for repeal of conflicting ordinances.
The second item concerns a request from Qual-Effic Services, Inc., to rezone 10.81 of 31.34 acres of property located at 4300 Lapeer Road, from Industrial Park (IP) to General Business-2 (GB-2).
A copy of all applications are on file and available for public viewing in both the township building department office and the clerk’s office. Visit www.oriontownship.org or call 248-391-0304 for more information.
