Folks have been asking why there are teal-colored ribbons tied on various objects in downtown Oxford. These ribbons are part of the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s “Tie Michigan Teal” campaign. September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Symptoms of ovarian cancer include bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, difficulty eating or feeling full quickly and changes in urinary urgency or frequency.
