Brandon Twp.- Sewer and water expansion, M-15 development, and natural feature preservation.
Residents are invited to discuss these issues and more during a planning focus group meeting set for 7:30-9:30 p.m., Sept. 9 at the library, 304 South St., Ortonville. The meeting will be the last public comment period for the township’s master plan until a formal public hearing, likely to be held in January.
‘With any kind of large planning policy issues, we want input,? said Doug Lewan, township planning consultant and principal with Carlisle-Wortman Associates, an Ann Arbor firm that is assisting the township in writing the master plan. ‘This should be considered a 10-year plan and we want to know how the residents want to see their community 10 years from now.?
Public input at the hearing will assist township officials in determining goals and policies, Lewan said.
