Oxford Township is requesting that water system customers limit their outdoor usage.
Due to the hot, dry weather, water demand in the township’s southern pressure district, which runs from Drahner Rd. to the south, has increased to the point that it is difficult to maintain adequate levels in the elevated water storage tank.
Morning demand is currently the problem.
Customers are asked to adhere to one of the following options:
1) Do not water lawns between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., which is the peak demand period. Limit watering to other times.
2) Set automatic sprinklers to run between midnight and 5 a.m. Manual watering can continue as needed.
This request will remain in effect until further notice.
