Village council awards council chamber exterior doors not to exceed $11,930

OXFORD — The Oxford Village Council awarded a project for new double doors for the council chamber’s exterior entrance to Secure Door, LLC for a price not to exceed $11,930 on Jan. 14.
The doors will be aluminum to stand up against the weather and salt. Only one of the doors will open automatically so there is enough room to use the village hall’s ramp nearby, according to Village Manager Joe Madore.
Madore added an Oakland County CDBG representative is aware of the project and the group is “okay with it.”
A motion from Nov. 12 was made to use $7,072 of CDBG grant funding to go toward asbestos removal by replacing the doors.
The rest of the grant’s $3,500 was awarded to Oxford/Orion FISH on Nov. 12. – J.G.
