Both Wildcats varsity bowling teams played host to the Bloomfield Hills Blackhawks and walked away with wins on Dec. 4.

The Varsity Girls team proved too much for the Bloomfield Hills girls as The Lady Cats rolled to a 28 to 2 win.

Oxford started with a strong 205 baker game and never looked back.

The high bowler for Oxford was Junior Megan Armbruster with a 188 game and 344 series.

The Boys Varsity Bowling team  walked away with an impressive 29 to 1 victory over Bloomfield Hills that evening.

Oxford swept both baker games and 9 of the 10 matches. Pacing the Cats with games of 258 and 187 was Luke Meyer.

Christian Cartner bowled games of 185 and 236, While Dean Petersen had a 213 game and Luke Acton bowled a 226 game.

“The teams did what they needed to do to get the win,” said Head Coach JR Lafnear. “The team has the potential to bowl better but this was a solid performance and a good way to start the league schedule.”

Both Wildcat teams bowl against Birmingham on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Astro Lanes (32388 John R Rd. in Madison Heights).
