I wanted to take a monet to comment on the November 18 article in The Oxford Leader, “Sgt. stripes received 75 years later.”
I commend you for your efforts to restore your dad’s stripes when you realized that they were important to him. I know from personal experience that dealing with the military is not easy. Your willingness to take on your dad’s quest says a considerable amount about both you and your father.
Your story touched me deeply and I wanted to express that I am glad there are people in this world who show such fidelity to others.
