Yoong-Ha Lee, 49, was arraigned April 18 on three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon in front of Magistrate Marie Soma at the Rochester Hills 52-3 District Court.

Bond was set at $75,000.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report, Lee’s 50-year-old wife refused to have sexual relations with him, which led the suspect to put a knife to her neck and use it to scratch her. While doing this, Lee allegedly told her, “How do you want to die? This way?”

Lee then allegedly forced her to engage in various sex acts.

Oxford firefighters examined the victim and found “two small, superficial lacerations on her neck,” the report stated. She refused to go to the hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies reported finding a small, silver knife “with blood on the blade” in the upstairs bedroom, where the alleged attack occurred. The black handle of the knife was “wrapped in cellophane,” the report stated.

Lee was found sleeping in his car in front of his home when deputies arrived. He “denies ever holding a knife to his wife’s neck” and stated he “only used the knife to cut kiwi and bananas to help (his wife) feed their son,” the report stated. Lee told deputies he fell asleep in his car after having lunch inside his house.

He is currently being lodged at Oakland County Jail.
