Thomas W. Dabrowski

Thomas W. Dabrowski, of Neebish Island, MI (formerly of Metamora, MI), died May 20, 2017 at the age of 61.

Born June 9, 1955, Tom was the loving husband of Jody (nee Kerr), dear father of Wayne and his wife, Amy (nee Dorvinen) and Neil; cherished grandfather of Teddy, Allie and Whitney; brother of Christopher Dabrowski, Ann Dabrowski and Alicia Lee. He is also survived by his aunt, Magdalen Edwards, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Donna Dabrowski.

Tom was an ironworker who specialized in moving industrial machinery and equipment for 30 years. Many considered Tom an “out-of-the-box” thinker who could build anything or solve any problem with his innate engineering abilities, and who generously shared these skills with coworkers, friends and his appreciative family. A master craftsman, Tom, together with Jody, hand-built two log homes– the second of which lies on the shores of the St. Mary’s River. They retired there in 2014 to pursue their love of sailing, snowmobiling and quaint island life.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at his home on Neebish Island, starting at 1 p.m.on July 8, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hospice of the EUP- Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Condolences may be posted on the C.S. Mulder Funeral Home site at http://www.csmulder.com
