Three-car crash at Burdick, M-24

A 68-year-old woman from Lake Orion sustained minor injuries Dec. 4 at 2 p.m., after she allegedly rear-ended a line of cars stopped ahead of her while driving southbound at the intersection of N. Washington and E. Burdick St.

The woman told Oxford Village Police she did not realize the cars ahead were stopped.

The car directly in front of the woman, a 2011 Buick Enclave, was driven by a 49-year-old woman from Lake Orion.

The force of impact also pushed the Buick into the 2003 Chevrolet Impala ahead of it, which was operated by a 23-year-old woman from Ortonville.

The report indicates alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the accident.

The 68-year-old woman was issued a citation and transported to Crittenton Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.
