Addison wage hikes improved

The Addison Township Board of Trustees passed a resolution on March 13 setting wage compensations for the upcoming 2003-2004 fiscal year.
Pay increases were approved for those who are already on a contracted yearly pay scale:
n The deputy supervisor, clerk and treasurer (all with five year’s experience) increased from $14.95 to $15.25.
n The full-time clerical position increased from four years experience to five and the wage increase went from $12.35 to $13.12.
n And the permanent part-time clerical position increased from $11.10 to $11.55.
The only other wage increase noted for the budget was from $10 to $12 for the sexton.
The board determined this position to be skilled labor instead of unskilled labor which increased the pay rate accordingly.
All compensation for commission and board members remained the same from the 2002-2003 budget: $40 per meeting for park committee members, $50 per meeting for the park committee chairman, $10 per hour for the board of review, $55 per meeting for zoning board of appeals members, $65 per meeting for the zoning board of appeals chairman, $55 per meeting for planning commission members, $65 per meeting for the chair, $60 per meeting for the secretary and $50 per meeting for the planning commission secretary duties. Also remaining the same is the compensation for the recording secretary, general labor ($10 per hour), skilled labor ($12 per hour) and the individual who opens and closes the cemetery gate ($75 a month).
The recording secretary earns $100 for board meetings, $50 for special meetings, $100 for planning commission, $75 for ZBA, $75 for fire board, $100 for all meetings over 2 1/2 hours, and $150 for all meeting transcripts.
