Pay raises for public servants

Despite Michigan’s economic hardships, record local foreclosures, and tighter home budgets, Independence Township Board trustees voted themselves three percent raises. Laughter and fun for Lighthouse

With lots of food, drink, and laughter, Clarkston-area residents raised about $45,000 for Lighthouse North. Dr. Shivajee and Terri Nallamouthu of Independence Township opened their home for the annual Open Your Heart fundraiser Feb. 14.
