Backyard Birders Club meets

At 6:30 p.m., July 27 the Clarkston-Area Backyard Birders Club will meet at the Wint Nature Center within Independence Oaks County Park, 9501 Sashabaw Road, Clarkston.

A leading figure in rescuing and rehabilitating injured songbirds will be the featured speaker.
Marg Sapp is a well-known authority to birders for her work at “Wild Wings Songbird Rehabilitation,” an organization she founded in Hazel Park; she serves and serves as owner/president/director. She will discuss how birds are handled and treated before being returned to the wild,  including case histories. Sapp will show visuals of these activities spanning more than 20- years, during which time she has saved thousands of songbirds. Admission is free, and there are no charges or fees of any kind. Complimentary coffee and cookies. The public is invited. Informal and casual.
