Watershed logo contest

The Clinton River Watershed Council is accepting submissions for its 22nd annual River Day Logo design contest.
The winning design will be used on official River Day shirts, event guide and CRWC website to promote River Day, which will be Saturday, June 13, in Springfield Township and throughout the watershed. The winner will also receive an official River Day T-shirt with their design on it and a one-year membership to the watershed council.
Artists must reside within the watershed. Art must be black-and-white, thick line drawing, no gray tones, 8.5-by-11 inches or smaller. The year “2020” must be prominent in the design of the logo, and the design must include the words “River Day.” Email electronic submissions, JPEG or TIFF format, 300 dpi or greater, to kathleen@crwc.org. Hard copy submissions can be hand delivered or mailed to CRWC, 1115 W Avon Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48309. Deadline is April 1.

Named to choral organization

The Oakland County Pioneer Historical Society created a calendar to mark the 200th anniversary of the formation of the county. Each day has a fact written about the county or a community in the county. Pictures in the calendar are from the August 1916 celebration of the creation of the county.
