Bush beats Kerry locally

In Oxford, Republican incumbent George W. Bush routed Democratic challenger John Kerry 6,152 to 3,577. Addison voters chose Bush over Kerry by a margin of 2,406 to 1,113 votes.
Oxford reported 3,152 straight-ticket Republican voters and 1,389 straight-ticket Democratic voters.
Addison saw 1,306 vote straight Republican tickets and 417 vote straight Democratic tickets.
With regard to state Proposal 1 (gambling) and state Proposal 2 (marriage), Oxford and Addison voters approved both by wide margins.
In Oxford, Prop. 1 passed 5,393 to 4,045 and Prop. 2 passed 5,565 to 3,868. In Addison, Prop. 1 was approved 2,055 to 1,395 and Prop. 2 got approved 2,167 to 1,271.
