Daphne Beethem

Daphne will be dearly missed by so many. She was a student at Lakeville Elementary, Oxford Middle School, and Oxford High School. She was a kind, creative, and hard-working young lady. The list of activities in which she was involved in is endless. Most recently, her artistic gifts touched everyone as she was an instrumental part of the Little Mermaids stage crew in crafting the fireflies that magically lit up the aisles.

She gave her time to others in activities like I’m Third, Student Leadership, S.A.D.D., Courtyard Cleanup, and spent years as a student-athlete most recently participating on the Oxford Bowling and Tennis teams. When Daphne was not at a school club or activity she was working at The White Horse Inn in Metamora. She had a warm and friendly personality that touched many lives.

Daphne benefited and enjoyed the support provided from the therapy dogs that supported the school after the horrific November 2021 event. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Oxford School District’s Oxford Wildcat Pack therapy dog program.

Visitation is at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford this Friday (April 21), from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. A burial service will be at the Burtchville Township Cemetery located at 3752 Burtch Road, LakePort, Michigan, with gathering at the cemetery from 1 to 2 p.m., with the service at 2 on Saturday, April 22, which is fitting as it is also Earth Day and Daphne loved plants and working in soil.
