Dinner to honor men of 82nd, 101st airborne division

Oxford American Legion Post 108 and Ladies Auxiliary Unit 108 are hosting a dinner Sunday, Nov. 15 to honor World War II veterans who proudly served in the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. and feature a family-style chicken dinner and cash bar. The cost is $10 per person, except for WWII members of the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions who will eat free.
Two notable authors who have written books about WWII will attend the event.
The first is George E. Koskimaki, of Northville, who wrote ‘Hell’s Highway: A Chronicle of the 101st Airborne in the Holland Campaign? and advised producers on the movie ‘Band of Brothers.?
The other is Donald R. Burgett, of Howell, who wrote ‘Seven Roads to Hell.?
