A 55-year-old Lapeer woman was arrested this past weekend for operating her vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.
According to Oxford Village Police Officer James Irish’s report, at about a quarter past 11 p.m. on Friday, May 14, he noticed a red Dodge Durango make an illegal left hand turn onto northbound S. Washington St., near Stanton.
Upon stopping the Durango, Irish reported he could smell intoxicants coming from the driver, the 55 year old woman. After preliminary breath tests and field sobriety tests she was arrested and taken to the village police department where she admitted to having four Sex On The Beach cocktails in about a three hour time span. She was cited, and because the Oakland County Jail was under lockdown status, released to her husband.
