Final farewell

Students, staff and a sea of friends and family filled the pavilion at Meadow Brook Music Festival on June 2, for the last time the Lake Orion High School graduation ceremony will be held there.
Starting in 2007, LOHS will hold its graduation at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights, due to space constraints at Meadow Brook.
Over 500 students participated in the commencement activities, which included student messages from Esteban Carrasco and Jessica Davis, an address from senior class president Melissa Helberg and, naturally, a few repetitions of ‘Pomp and Circumstance.?
Many tears were shed and hugs were shared before, during, and after the event. Most of the students also participated in the All-Night Senior Party, held later that evening at LOHS.
For those that missed it or who just want to relive the event, the graduation ceremony will be shown on ONTV (cable channel 10) on Sundays, throughout the month of June, starting at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Copies are available for purchase by calling the ONTV studio at 693-3377.
