Goodbye, Oxford

 Dear Oxford Community,

It is with mixed emotions that we, the Oxford Lions Club, write this letter to bid farewell after 76 incredible years of service to our beloved community. While it saddens us to announce our disbandment, we want to take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support you have shown us throughout the years.

Throughout our journey, the Lions Club has strived to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of those in need within our community. We are incredibly proud to share that an astounding 90 percent of the funds we raised were reinvested right back into the community.

Our efforts have extended to various groups and causes that are close to our hearts. Our commitment encompassed vital programs such as hearing aid initiatives, supporting Paws with a Cause and Leader Dogs for the Blind. By supporting these organizations, we have played a role in changing lives and fostering a stronger, more compassionate community.

Recently, we awarded three Oxford High School seniors with scholarships worth $1,000 each. Witnessing their dedication and potential, we are confident they will go on to achieve great things and make our community even more proud.

We took great joy in providing holiday meals and gift cards to those in need. These acts of kindness were made possible by the unwavering support and generosity of the community, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

As we bid farewell, we encourage each of you to continue spreading kindness, compassion, and support within our community. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Oxford Lions Club
