Over 50 students from Oxford High Schools Leadership classes attended a Leadership State Conference in Grand Rapids, two weeks ago and left with multiple awards.

According to Chloe Bachman, Communications Specialist for the school district, over 2,000 students from across the state attended.

OHS won the Award of Excellence and 2023 Conference Host School. OHS Sophomore, Madilyn Krozek won the “Unsung Hero” award. The “Unsung Hero” award is given to one person per High School.

There are 74 students of all high school grades in OHS’ Leadership classes. According to Leadership teacher Emma Gordon, these classes are “about students becoming leaders for the school by taking charge running assemblies, events, and being involved inside and outside of the classroom.”
