There’s strength in unity say members of Oxford Schools’ PTO and PTA organizations.
With that in mind, they collectively held a fund-raiser event in town to benefit all district schools.
More than 100 local moms came together to spend an evening at The Oxford Tap in downtown Oxford followed by a viewing of “A Bad Moms Christmas” at the Oxford 7 Theater.
All ticket proceeds for the event benefitted Oxford elementary PTO and PTA organizations. More than $1,900 was raised, which will be split evenly between the four organizations.
“This was a great way to bring all of our moms from across the district together for a night out before the holiday rush begins. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We have such a great small town, and events like this really bring our Oxford families together. It was just a great way to support our elementary PTOs and have a little fun too,” said Clear Lake parent and event organizer Danielle Wernis.
She hopes to make this an annual event.
Wernis added she would like to thank The Oxford Tap for opening its doors to the event and for donating appetizers.
