Volunteers with the Oxford Ramp Park Committe spent Saturday afternoon collecting bags and bags of returnable bottles and cans donated by village residents.
The volunteers collected 2,005 bottles and cans, raising $200.50 toward building a ramp park in Scripter Park for in-line skaters, skateboarders and free-style bikers.
Another bottle/can drive will be held soon in the Lake Villa Manufactured Home Park.
Volunteers for Saturday’s drive included Jake Brown, Donovan Scott, Jeff O’Berry, Kevin and Kyle Cleland, Brent Stelzer, Todd and Rob Stewart, Julie Stelzer, Janella Cleland, Dannie Granger and Dawn and Jennifer O’Berry.
