Oxford motorcyclist injured in crash

At 12:59 p.m., July 15, Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies, along with the Brandon Township Fire Department, responded to a motorcycle-automobile crash on North Ortonville Road near Wolfe Road.

A 2002 Honda VT750 motorcycle was traveling southbound on N. Ortonville Road when the operator, a 38-year-old Oxford Township resident, collided with a Buick Enclave, driven by a 79-year-old Fairgrove man, that was making a left turn from a commercial driveway.

The motorcyclist was knocked to the ground and suffered a head injury.

Deputies from the OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to assist with the crash investigation.

The motorcyclist was transported by paramedics to Genesys Health Park where he is listed in serious condition. No helmet was worn at the time of the crash.

The 79 year-old-driver of the Buick Enclave and his 76-year-old wife, were both wearing their seat belts and were not injured.

Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
