Oakland County Deputies noticed a car not stopping or using a turn signal whilst turning. They stopped the car, driven by a 17-year-old Oxford lad — and busted him for have marijuana seeds, rolling papers and a pipe.

From N. Washington Street, a Pontiac man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
An intoxicated female was driven to her Broadway Street home at 5:18 in the morning.
Cops were called to the school on Pontiac Street over concerns of a suspicious red Ford parked in the parking lot. Law enforcement waited diligently until two men came back to the vehicle — the duo had been walking on the track for exercise.
Four suspicious males were walking on Lakeville Road at 12:30 in the morning.

Monday, June 11 Oxford cops gave chase and caught an Oxford teen on Broadway Street. The lad was accused of punching his sister in the face.

On S. Washington Street, the owner of a stolen bike, caught and held the alleged thief until police could arrive.

A pontoon boat and a paddle boat were found, discarded on Lakes Edge Drive.
Small fire in the duct work of a E. Oakwood Road business was quickly dispatched by Oxford Fire Fighters. It was called in at 7:14 a.m. and under control by 7:25.

Wednesday, September 13
Oxford Police investigated a domestic disturbance on Glaspie Street. A woman, 42, called police and told them her husband came home at 12:15 am. and had been drinking. She said he threatened her and she called police.
Police attempted to question the man, 37, but could not find him inside the home.
After a search, the man was found hiding in a crawl space in the basement. He told police he hid because he was afraid he would be arrested. Since there was no physical confrontation, police said they were not going to arrest him but instead he agreed to let police transport him to another location for the evening.

Thursday, September 14
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 44-year-old Lake Orion woman after she allegedly struck her 15-year-old daughter several times, including hitting her in the head with a telephone. Deputies from Oxford Township were called to the home, on Detroit Boulevard, at 12:34 a.m. and spoke to the girl, who said her mother struck, kicked and hit her in the head with the telephone. The reported noted bruises to the girl’s arm and a bump on her head. According to the girl and other witnesses, the mother became angry when the girl went to practice soccer instead of to another location where the mother wanted her to go.

Friday September 15
A home on E. Manor in the Lake Villa Park was broken into and vandalized. According to reports from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, an employee of the company that owns the home reported that it had been vacant. There was evidence the house was broken into and there were food wrappers in the house. There also were holes knocked in some of the walls.
A man who lives on Glenmoor reported he was a victim of identity heft. The man told Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies that someone apparently stole his credit card and was used between August 26 and September 13 to charge more than $453 worth of goods. The man, 47, reported he believed his card was stolen from his wallet when he left his wallet inside his car.

Saturday, September 16
A resident of Oxford Oaks reported his garage was entered and items from his car were taken in a burglary. The victim, 52, said he discovered his side garage door open at 4:45 a.m. and the doors to his car inside also were open. The man reported that his radar detector and about $10 in change were taken.
An Oxford woman told village police she had received Internet death threats from her boyfriend. The woman, 18, said the man, of Flint, had threatened her and her unborn child. Oxford police contacted the boyfriend, 30, of Flint, and reported that he claimed the woman had threatened him. Police reported they told both individuals how they could file personal protection orders against the other.

Sunday, September 17
Oxford police arrested a 46-year-old Oxford man on suspicion of drunken driving. According to police reports, an officer observed the man pull out of a parking lot onto Burdick and then get into a left turn lane on Washington Street. Instead of turning, the man drove through the intersection. Police stopped the vehicle and reported the man admitted to having been drinking. He was given a preliminary Breathalyzer test which showed his blood alcohol level was .17 percent. The man was taken to the Oxford Police Department where another test was given and his blood alcohol level was .15 percent. Someone is intoxicated if there blood alcohol level is .10 percent of above. The man was given an appearance ticket.
Two drivers in a parking lot at 150 Washington collided. The cars sustained only minor damage and neither driver was injured.
A 52-year-old Clawson man died of an apparent heart attack at his daughter’s home on Thornehill Drive. According to reports from Oxford Police, the victim’s daughter said she came home and found her father slumped in a chair in the garage. The woman called Oxford fire Department and gave her father CPR. Paramedics also administered CPR when they arrived but the man could not be saved.
A U.S. Postal Department letter carrier filed a report with Oxford Police that a dog on First Street has attempted to attack him several times. The carrier reported that the owner has agreed to keep the dog tied up so it could not injure anyone.
A 39-year-old Oxford Township man reported someone took a laptop computer and his passport from his car parked at his home on Ridgefield. The man said he noticed the theft at about 7 a.m.
A 30-year-old woman who lives on Sandhurst reported that someone broke into her car and took her cell phone. The woman told sheriff’s deputies that she discovered the break in at about noon.
A rented truck sustained damage when it caught fire on Lapeer Road, near Ray Road. According to reports from the sheriff’s department, a Metamora man, 52, said he was driving when he noticed smoke coming from the dash panel. The man stopped the car and a passerby had a fire extinguisher and put out the blaze. Oxford Fire Department was called and also sprayed the inside of the vehicle. The truck could not be driven and was towed.
An Oxford man, 22, reported that he was threatened and nearly hit with a car at a business along Lapeer Road. The man and his girlfriend, 22, said they pulled into the parking lot at 955 S. Lapeer where the woman worked. They said a man in another car pulled up and threatened him. The Oxford man said the man said he would stab him and shoot him. The victim said the man then attempted to run him over with the car. Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and attempted to catch the driver of the car but were unsuccessful.

Tuesday, September 18
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a stolen 2003 Jeep in Oxford Oaks. According to police reports, a resident of the area reported the vehicle had been parked for several days. When police checked the vehicle they discovered it has been stolen in Oxford.
An Oxford woman reported that a former employee of a company on Jersey improperly took $250 from a company back account to pay for a cell phone bill. The woman told police she did not know the man still had access to the bank account. The report stated that bank officials acknowledged that the man should not have had access to the account.

Wednesday, April 20
Police reported more than three 9-11 hang up calls came from the Oxford Middle School and two more from a Maloney Street address.

More than $165 in cash plus credit cards were stolen from a car on Maloney.
A medical bag was stolen from a car parked in a driveway on Tanview.
A 20-year-old Pontiac man was arrested for possession and use of marijuana after officers observed his car going too slow on Baldwin Road. He was stopped for going 30 m.p.h. in a 50.
Friday, April 22
A black bag, a wallet, and a lunch box were taken from a car on Boulder Lake Road, but were later found by a construction worker down the street.
A wallet with $90, credit cards and a driver’s license were stolen from a car on Tanview.
A Lake Road resident found that someone has attempted identify theft several times by trying several times to open a telephone account under her name.
Saturday, April 23
An intoxicated resident was disorderly and causing family trouble on Minnetonka.
When a man pulled into the lot at Oakwood and Lapeer Road for a nap he was rudely awakened from his sleep by two males who kicked the side of the truck three times, leaving foot prints in the dirt. The napper saw the destructive wakers speed away in a white Grand Am.
Someone smashed several mail boxes on Ray Road.
A Pontiac Street resident called police stating someone was trying to break into her apartment.
Police were called to Starbucks after more than 20 juveniles crowded into the store and were loud.
Sunday, April 24
A 51 year-old Clinton Township man was arrested after officers stopped him for speeding. The officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the man’s car.
Police responded to a rash of open door alarms on Washington Street, and one on Lincoln.
Wires sparking on S. Washington and Lincoln streets.
Police responded to a call of a suspicious circumstance where a car full of juveniles were just sitting on Bay Pointe Drive.
Monday, April 25
A teen reported she was being stalked on-line by a man who said he was a pastor. The teen said he insisted he wanted to be her friend, but conversations escalated to him telling her he loved her and would not leave her alone. She was advised to report the activity to the internet company.
A home under construction on State Street was vandalized over the weekend by someone who smashed all the windows and doors out of the back side of the home.

Tuesday, March 29,
Warrant arrest of a 20 year old Oxford male.
Teens skateboarding in the roadway at S. Washington and Lincoln streets.
A 22-year-old Clarkston male was arrested for drunk driving.
No injury accident at S. Washington and Church streets and W. Burdick and Pontiac streets.
A 72-year-old Lake Orion woman was injured in a hit and run accident at S. Washington and Ensley. Witnesses stated a truck struck a woman turning off of the road and then squealed away from the scene. Officers found the responsible suspect and ticketed the 20-year-old man for causing and accident and leaving the scene.
Credit card fraud was reported by a N. Lapeer Road resident after he received a call from his credit card company after they suspected fraudulent activity.
Wednesday, March 30,
Warrant arrest of a 35-year-old Oxford man.
No injury accident at S. Washington and Mechanic streets.
Someone flattened the tires and broke the window out of a car parked in Collier’s parking lot.
Several juveniles were spotted riding on top of a vehicle driving through the Oxford Lakes subdivision and up onto Lakeville Road. The police stopped the teens before an accident occurred.
Teens were reported to be trespassing at Scripter Park on Glaspie Street.
A 23-year-old Oxford man walked out on a $40 tab at a downtown business. The suspect can be identified.
Someone was tampering with the TKMS building on Glaspie, leaving one of the truck bay doors opened.
Resident in Oxford Lakes reported juveniles were using foul language while walking through the neighborhood.

Someone smashed the windows out of a car parked in a driveway on Aquaview.
Several people noticed a suspicious grey S-10 pick-up truck with a loud exhaust hanging around a business on Glaspie.
A black Labrador attacked a dog that was tied up on a leash on Hovey.
Suspicious persons were reported after two subjects were seen going door to door on Thorne Hill and Lakeville roads. The men were telling residents they were collecting cans because they ran out of gas.
Two teens on scooters were seen urinating on the wall of a downtown business. They were caught and taken to their parents on Stanton Street.

Monday, December 6
Police responded to a report that someone may be breaking into a building at the American Aggregates on Ray Rd. When police arrived the man ran away, but license plates on a car parked off the road belonged to a Holly man. Officers found a window broken out of the back of the building. A similar incident happened recently at a gravel pit in Holly.
A shopper reported that someone broke out the window of her vehicle while parked in Meijer’s parking lot.
Somerville residents reported that someone broke into their garage and stole a snow blower and golf clubs.

Tuesday, December 7
A 20 year old Oxford male was arrested for open intoxicants after property owners on Laurel Leah found an empty car in their drive and their shed damaged from being hit. Police found the driver nearby and ticketed him for the alcohol, as well as driving on a restricted license.

A Conda resident reported his basement was flooded with sewage. He told officers he believes the basement flooded because he claims employees at nearby Little Caesar’s dump uncooked dough down the drains.

Officers responded to a complaint of a male teen assaulting a female teen.
Larceny of a generator on Worchester.
Landlord complaint was filed after the tenant discovered her landlord had been in the house during the day, then discovered the envelop with her rent money missing.
Officers responded to a report of someone seeing a flame in a parking lot on Glaspie. The devise was a glass jar with a rag and fuel in it. Police said a similar incident happened at Oxford Lakes.
Accident at East and Washington. A 54 year old Oxford woman turned left in front of an oncoming vehicle.

Wednesday, November 3
Three teens reported that a man threatened them on Hunters Rill. The man pushed one of the teens, who said the man was telling him he would prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law if he didn’t leave his daughter alone.
Three teens admitted to smashing pumpkins on Bay Pointe after they were spotted sitting on the side of the road with their lights off. They said they were taking the pumpkins from homes and throwing them out the window of the truck to watch them explode.
Officers assisted at a car accident on Woodridge and Lakes Edge drive. The 65 year old Ortonville man was uninjured after he hit a parked car.
An Oxford woman fell asleep driving her car on Washington at Church and hit an emergency pole at the fire station.

A W. Drahner resident reported that someone slashed tires, took the seat, and broke the brake cable on his bicycle that was parked and locked at the Middle School.

Saturday, October 16
No one was injured in a two-car crashed that happened at the corner of Burdick and M-24. A 17-year old Clarkston male turned into a 17-year old girl from Shelby Township as he was turning onto M-24.
Monday, October 18
Officers responded to complaints of family trouble on Lincoln. There were no injuries.
Deputies responded to a complaint of larceny of construction equipment. The Bellwood resident told police he saw young males steal equipment from a truck on Bellwood. The man were driving a dark colored pick up truck and were last seen driving toward Dunlap and Lapeer Rd.
Tuesday, October 19
A Shelby Township woman was uninjured when she backed into an oncoming car in the parking lot at the Oxford Market Place.
Deputies responded to an assault call after a fight was reported at Uncle Boomba’s. The aggressor fled the scene before officers but they did know who the suspect was. The Oxford man who was attacked said he did not want to press charges but wanted the incident on record.
Thursday, October 21
Someone reported an abandon trailer on Cottage Court.
A pregnant daughter called police saying she felt threatened after an argument began between she, her mother, and a cousin. The argument was not physical, but officers referred the woman, who was seven months pregnant, to Haven.
A Worchester resident reported that someone entered his garage and stole a trail camera, binoculars, a hunting knife, a bow case, and a back pack.
Friday, October 22
An Oxford Lakes Drive resident reported that he had seen someone drive across the lawn of an Oxford Lakes home. The witness gave police the license number and officers were able to locate the driver, who denied driving on the lawn. Later he did tell police he accidently drove over the grass and was cited for reckless driving.
Tuesday, October 24
Someone drove over the front lawn of a Tanview resident, causing ruts in the grass. There were no witnesses.
