Paradox ? a local band that includes Oxford Middle School eighth-graders Adam Hetchler and Scott King ? was the Grand Prize winner at the Chillers Teen Dance Club Battle of the Bands May 7.
Located inside the Polar Palace Arena Complex on Davison Road in Lapeer, Chillers Teen Dance Club is a Saturday night hangout for fifth through twelfth graders.
Playing classic rock from the 1970s and ?80s such as Led Zeppelin and Van Halen, Paradox squared off against two other local bands Saturday to win a $100 gift certificate from Lapeer Music.
Formed two months ago, the band consists of Adam Hetcher (singer), Scott King (drummer), Shawn ‘Lurch? McDade (guitar), and P.J. Hargrave (bass).
