Normally, Lakeville Elementary is populated by students, teachers and volunteers. But on Saturday, Oct. 27, the school will be overrun by ghosts, ghouls and goblins.

That’s when the Parent School Council (PSC) will host its annual haunted house from 6-8 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person.

The school’s library will be transformed into a horrifying hellscape where nightmares come to life and fiends lurk around every corner. Visitors will encounter costumed middle school and high school students eager to fill the darkness with their screams and cries for help.

“I am terrified to go through it, honestly,” said Sarah Umscheid, the PSC’s public relations coordinator. “They do a phenomenal job.”

Actors dressed as fairy godmothers will be available upon request to escort kids and adults who want to dial down the fear factor, but still have some Halloween fun.

“When they lead the way, no actors will jump out and scare you,” Umscheid said.
