NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that under the provisions of §17.8 and §16.9 of Oxford Township Zoning Ordinance 67A, the Oxford
Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing in the Board Room at the Oxford Township Office at 300 Dunlap Rd,
Oxford, MI 48371.

Variance Description

A) Petitioner is requesting the ZBA amend/clarify a previously
adopted motion passed on 10/17/2022 approving a variance from
the standards set forth in Article 9.8 (J) of Zoning Ordinance 67A –
Wall Signs in Non-Residential Districts.
The Petitioner requests the ZBA confirm whether its previous
approval was intended to approve the square footage as depicted
in the plans submitted by the Petitioner on 10/9/2017 and whether
the maximum total sq. ft. of signs (may not exceed 4,048 sq. ft.)
and murals (may not exceed 5,769 sq. ft.) will be treated
separately, or if the ZBA intended to approve a maximum total sq.
ft. of signs and murals at a maximum of 9,817 sq ft.
B) Petitioner is also requesting the ZBA consider “Renewal of a
Motion” approved by the ZBA on 10/17/2022 to grant Township
staff the authority to approve a change in location, size, and
quantity of signs and/or murals to ensure compliance with the
notice provisions of the Zoning Enabling Act (MCL 125.3102).

hours (9:00 am – 4:00 pm weekdays, excluding holidays).
Members of the public are welcome to attend the public hearing in person or by counsel to express views on the Application. Written
comments should be addressed to Todd Walters, Commission Chair, 300 Dunlap, Oxford, MI 48731-0003, or may be sent by email to
Cheryl Lotan, clotan@oxfordtownship.org. All written correspondence must be received by 12:00 noon on the Friday before the date
of the public hearing.
The Charter Township of Oxford will provide necessary, reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and
audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting/hearing. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services shall
contact the Charter Township of Oxford by writing or calling Curtis W. Wright, Township Clerk, (248) 628-9787, as soon as possible, to allow the
Township sufficient time to have available the aids and services.
