Notice is hereby given that, under the provisions of the Charter Township of Oxford Zoning
Ordinance and the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, the Charter Township of Oxford Planning
Commission will conduct a public hearing at Charter Township of Oxford Meeting Room at
300 Dunlap, Oxford, MI 48371.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments regarding:
Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to permit retail Marihuana Retailers to colocate with Medical
Marihuana Provisioning Centers. This amendment pertains to the following:
1. Section 2.2, Definitions, to include “Marihuana Retailer,” remove “Marihuana Dispensary,”
and amend both “Medical Marihuana Facility” and “Marihuana Operation Facility;”
2. Section 3.4, Sub-Section O, Intent of Districts – MP Marihuana Provisioning Overlay, to
include “Marihuana Retailers” and reference appropriate state law;
3. Section 3.5, Schedule of Use Regulations, to allow the colocation of Marihuana Retailers
with Marijuana Provisioning Centers as a Special Land Use in the MP, Marihuana
Provisioning Overlay District;
4. Section 5.35, Marihuana Uses, to permit Marihuana Retailer to colocate with Medical
Marihuana Provisioning Centers, reference appropriate state law, and set applicable
standards;
5. Section 6.26, Marihuana Regulations, to permit both “Medical Marihuana Facilities” and
“Marihuana Operation Facilities”.
Documents related to the public hearing will be available for inspection at the Township Building
Department, during business hours (9:00 am – 4:00 pm weekdays, excluding holidays).
