May 15: A 32-year-old technician of a cable company called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to the 300 block of Red Cedar Dr., where a temporary line had been cut. According to the technician, the line was installed May 8 at 6:30 p.m. Upon his return at 7:58 p.m., May 15, the technician told deputies he had returned to find the line had been cut. The technician was allegedly approached by an unknown person who said “they are going to continue to cut the cable until (the company) buries the cable” before leaving in a vehicle. It cost the company approximately $500 to replace the cable.

May 16: A 48-year-old woman from Oxford Twp. called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to a school located in the 1000 block of Lakeville Rd., where she said she had allegedly witnessed a group of girls fighting before one girl, a 12-year-old Oxford Twp. resident, ran away stating she was “going to get rifles, an AR and a .22.” The woman then told deputies she watched the girl run into some nearby woods. One of the victims, a 14-year-old Oxford Twp. resident, said she and the 12-year-old have allegedly not been getting along and that the 12-year-old girl had said she was going to get her guns as she was leaving with two of her friends. When deputies spoke with the 12-year-old girl’s mother at a later time, she said her daughter had told the girls about her BB gun but that she had not threatened them with it.

May 21: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home, located in the 50 block of Dunlap Circle, at 2:51 p.m. where the 61-year-old homeowner said her 34-year-old daughter had allegedly been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, a 34-year-old man from Dryden Twp the night prior. Deputies observed several bruises on the victim’s body. While the victim was noted to be hesitant at first, she allegedly told deputies that she had started drinking heavily at around 9 p.m. the night before and that she could not recall the events leading to the assault. According to the victim, the man allegedly slapped her with an open hand and kicked her several times in the ribs and sides. In response, the woman said she had locked herself in the bedroom before the suspect had allegedly kicked open the door, damaging it. The suspect then passed out on the couch and slept at the home before leaving the next morning. The homeowner told deputies she did not live at the home but that she had come to the home and observed the damage before calling.
