Oct. 9: A woman living on the first block of Division St. called Oxford Village Police at 7:36 a.m., stating that Halloween pranksters placed signs in her yard overnight.

Oct. 7: Oxford Village Police received a report at 7:01 a.m. from a business located on the 900 block of South Glaspie St. The caller stated the back door of the building had been kicked in and several chainsaws had been stolen.

Oct. 7: A resident on the 50 block of Mechanic St. called Oxford Village Police at 3:39 p.m. to report a male subject coming into their yard on a regular basis, peering into windows, and leaving beer cans on their lawn.

Oct. 5: Oxford Village Police received a call from a resident living on the 50 block of Pontiac Rd. at 6:55 p.m. The caller told police that a man was walking door to door and forcefully asked him when the homeowner would be home for a sales pitch. The man would not show ID or paperwork to back up his claim. The subject was advised by village police not to solicit without a permit.
