Veterinary Home Care, the practice of Dr. Elena Osborne, of Independence Township, hosted its third annual “Putts for Paws” event on Sunday, raising approximately $12,400 towards the benefit of local rescues.

Proceeds will be split evenly between the K-9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford and the Canine Companion Rescue Center in Oakland County. It was a day filled with sunshine, golf and even a few wagging tails.

Having garnered attendence from over 100 people, Osborne said the event was “bigger and better than ever.”

“It was a huge success,” said Osborne. “There were even a few pooches from K-9 Stray Rescue League there up for adoption.”
