Spikers ready to kick off FML play

he Wildcat varsity Vvlleyball teams got off to a solid start to the season, going 4-5-6 before heading into the Flint Metro League Schedule.
The Wildcats went winless when they hosted a quad match against Flushing, Clarkston and North Branch. They were able to get off to a 15-8 score against Flushing, but they lost momentum and the match.
They were able to defeat Ann Arbor Pioneer and Lake Orion in the Notre Dame Prep quad on Tuesday, Aug 25. They finished second overall after losing to Norte Dame.
‘The girls love coming out and defeating Lake Orion in our first meeting. We have a really great rivalry with them, so it is always nice to take the first one,? said Head Coach Kristi McDevitt.
‘These were all great matches, and even though we didn’t win, it was a true eye opener for the squad as to what needs to improve,? said McDevitt.
The Wildcats host Clio in the Flint Metro League Opener Thursday, Sept 10 at 7 p.m.
