An April 22 blaze that destroyed a mobile home in Orion Lakes is being looked at by arson investigators from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
The mobile home was located on Parakeet, inside the Orion Lakes Mobile Home Community, located on Brown Road near M-24.
The fire occurred at about 5:44 p.m. on Saturday, and neighbors observed several young men fleeing from the home before it started to burn, according to an OCSD report.
Orion Township Fire Chief Jeff Key said he believed the home was vacated at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported, and an OCSD detective from the Fire Investigation Unit responded to the scene.
‘It usually takes about a week to complete an investigation like this one,? Key noted.
