Truck collision causes injury

A two-truck collision on the morning of April 22 resulted in a trip to the hospital and ticket for one local driver.
A 61-year-old Oxford woman travelling south on M-24 in a 2002 Chevy truck struck the rear of a 2002 Dodge truck stopped in the southbound right-lane of M-24, just north of Drahner Road.
The Dodge truck, driven by a 30-year-old Pontiac resident, was stopped in traffic due to a red light at the intersection of M-24 and Drahner Road, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report.
The Oxford woman told the sheriff’s deputy she ‘attempted to swerve to avoid hitting (the Dodge), but struck it anyway.?
A citation for failing to use due care and caution was issued to the Oxford woman, who sustained injury as a result of the crash and had to be transported by ambulance to the POH Medical Center in Pontiac.
