The faitful at Oxford United Methodist Church welcomed their new pastor this past Sunday, durimg an outdoor service.
The Rev. Dr. Julius Ernest Del Pino replaces full time pastor, Rev. Jennifer Jue and interim pastor, Steven Black.
Rev. Del Pino was born in Savannah,Georgia and grew up in a Methodist parsonage along with five siblings in the state of Minnesota. He received his B.A. degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, majoring in American History, the Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D from Northwestern University.
Rev. Del Pino has served pastorates in Michigan, Callifornia, and Illinois. He is married to Rev. Laurie Smith-Del Pino. They have six chidlren between the two of them and three grandchildren.
