Wildcats finish up in state meet

Last week, Oxford High School swimmers and divers participated in the 2020 Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Div. 1 championship meet at Hudsonville High School. Senior diver Amelia Knotts was All-State with a 3rd place finish. “We are so proud of her and can’t wait to continue watching her diving career at Grand Valley State University,” a school official stated in a social media posting.
Sophomore diver Caylee Beebe took 20th. “Pretty impressive for a first-year diver. Caylee is going to be a great asset and true leader for the team next year,” the official posted.
Jenna Fistler came in 13th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.56. In the 100 free, Jenna finished 23rd with a time of 54.18. Jenna will continue swiming after graduation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Grace Charnstrom took 21st in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.82. Grace recently committed to continuing her swimming career at Saginaw Valley State University.
