Students at Leonard Elementary took a trip around the world last Wednesday when The Chautauqua Express, led by musician Guy Louis, pulled into town.
Chautauquas were traveling shows popular at the turn of the century in North America. Native American and African drums got the kids on their feet and off to a multicultural musical adventure that had them dancing around the room.
Louis has been operating The Chautauqua Express since 1986 and travels to schools all over the area.
